Privacy Policy

Prayer Guide collects nothing. There is no account, no sign in, no analytics and no advertising. Nothing you do in the app ever leaves your device.

What the app stores

Your settings are saved on your device so the app opens the way you left it:

• whether recommended steps are shown alongside the required ones
• whether you are following wudu or tayammum
• whether Arabic, transliteration and translation are shown
• whether prayers open as one long scroll or one step at a time
• which city the qibla compass calculates from

These are held in the operating system's standard preference storage. They are never transmitted anywhere, and they are removed when you uninstall the app.

What the app does not do

• No personal information is collected
• No usage or analytics data is gathered
• No advertising or tracking identifiers are used
• No data is shared with third parties, because none is collected
• No account or email address is required
• No internet connection is used to run the app or to show any of its content

Buying a coffee

Settings has a "Buy Me a Coffee" card. It is entirely optional, and the app works exactly the same whether or not you use it. Tapping it leaves the app and opens a Stripe payment page in your browser.

Nothing is sent from the app when you do this: it opens a link, the same as tapping any web address. Any card details you enter are handled by Stripe on their own page, and Prayer Guide never sees or stores them. If you pay, nothing in the app changes and nothing is unlocked.

Location

Prayer Guide does not request or use your device location. The qibla compass works from a city you pick from a list, and the direction is calculated on your device from publicly known coordinates.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Since it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new date at the top.
